The Lorica
Community Partnership team are currently working to
capacity with the redevelopment of three church buildings.
St Cuthbert’s, Portsmouth
At St Cuthbert’s Church we have
been redeveloping the site to provide a new worship
area, doctor’s surgery, five-floor community
centre and an equity share housing scheme for the elderly.
Lorica Community Partnership
has provided strategic planning, business planning,
income generation, project management, change management
and communication input into the development working
on behalf of the Vicar, Churchwardens and Parochial
Church Council. £3
million of a total target of £3.5 million has
been secured by Lorica Community Partnership through
a combination of commercial and charitable income i.e.
bank loans, PFI funding, donations and property deals.
Lorica Community Partnership has a rolling contract
with the Parish and charges a daily consultancy fee.
This fee contributes to the overall running costs of
Lorica Trust Limited.

Christ Church, Portsdown
At Christ Church, Lorica Community
Partnership is helping the parish to first understand
the implications of a redevelopment programme and drawing
together a detailed strategic objectives business and
strategic plan and project plan that will make the
redevelopment a reality. Extensive change management
work has been undertaken with the parishioners following
a huge unachievable redevelopment plan that had been
developed by the parishes’ project leadership
team.
Lorica Community Partnership currently
has a fixed term contract with the Parish and charges
a daily consultancy fee. This fee contributes to the
overall running costs of Lorica Trust Limited.
St Andrew’s, Croydon
St Andrew’s Church is at the
early stages of a redevelopment plan which will include
the sale/lease of existing premises to generate capital
to pay for the redevelopment of the church building.
The Parish is keen to meet the social needs of the
local community and in particular the local Church
of England school.
Lorica is in the early stages of negotiating
terms and gaining an understanding of the support needs
of the parish. |
